Senior Platform / Network Engineer Terraform Expert

Overview

You will drive design, delivery and troubleshooting of AWS cloud networking to ensure reliability, security and resilience. In this hands-on role, you’ll build scalable network architectures across VPCs and hybrid connections, collaborating with Cyber Security and cross‑functional teams. You’ll lead IaC with Terraform, create reusable module patterns and CI/CD for network provisioning, while mentoring peers. Responsibilities

• lead design, delivery and troubleshooting of AWS cloud networking
• design highly available network architectures across VPCs, Transit Gateway, Direct Connect, VPN, Route 53, SGs and NACLs
• embed segmentation, least privilege access and threat protection by design
• collaborate with Cyber Security to implement cloud network security controls
• design and maintain secure hybrid connectivity between AWS, Azure and on-premises datacentres
• maintain strong observability, monitoring and capacity planning across the network estate
• champion Infrastructure as Code; build reusable Terraform modules and patterns
• develop CI/CD pipelines for network provisioning and change management
• define cloud networking standards and best practices; mentor engineers; collaborate with DevOps/Platform teams

Key requirements

• expert Infrastructure as Code skills using Terraform including modules, state management, workspaces
• strong AWS networking expertise: VPC, Transit Gateway, Direct Connect, VPN, Route 53, SGs, NACLs
• AWS Advanced Networking Specialty certification (or working towards it)
• technical leadership and mentoring capability
• design for reliability and resilience: HA, failover, disaster recovery
• knowledge of network security: segmentation, least privilege access, secure connectivity, threat protection
• automation and CI/CD experience: provisioning, pipelines, network tooling
• Routing and Switching knowledge (BGP), VPNs (IPSec, SSL), Network Monitoring and Observability
