Loan Operations Analyst

Overview

In this role you will process and review loan applications to provide fast funding to UK small businesses. You will verify financial documents, conduct KYC checks, and ensure data accuracy in multiple systems. You’ll work with a collaborative team, proactively address risks, and help maintain smooth onboarding and loan administration. Responsibilities

• Review financial accounts, bank statements and risk reports to process loan applications
• Complete Know Your Customer (KYC) checks during onboarding and escalate to AML/Fraud teams as needed
• Use third‑party systems to collect information on applicants and their business
• Conduct rigorous quality assurance: reconcile loan documents and internal system data for completeness and accuracy
• Work in a collaborative team environment
• Proactively solve problems and mitigate risks or control weaknesses in day‑to‑day activities

Key requirements

• At least 6 months experience in a high‑volume operations or administrative role
• Ability to meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment
• Excellent attention to detail, self‑motivation, strong organizational skills and ability to follow procedures
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks
• Willingness to learn and adapt to evolving policies and procedures
• Desirable familiarity with financial documents, bank statements and identification documents
• Ability to use Generative AI to streamline daily tasks and work with approved AI tools effectively
