Overview

In this Mechanical Compliance Engineer role, you support engineering compliance and safety at the Leven Packaging site, ensuring adherence to current legislation and Diageo Global Technical Standards. You will coordinate statutory inspections, remedial actions, and maintenance planning within SAP, while keeping documentation audit-ready. The role involves collaboration with internal teams and external contractors to strengthen compliance across LOLER, PUWER, Pressure Systems and DSEAR. You’ll gain broad exposure to statutory and process safety within a dynamic manufacturing environment. Responsibilities

• Coordinate statutory inspections and remedial actions across LOLER, PUWER, Pressure Systems and DSEAR
• Maintain statutory maintenance plans within SAP and ensure audit-ready engineering documentation
• Collaborate with internal teams and external contractors to support compliance and safety programs
• interpret technical drawings and P&IDs to support maintenance and compliance
• support broader engineering safety and compliance initiatives across the site

Key requirements

• Time-served Mechanical Engineer with manufacturing/complex engineering experience
• Good understanding of mechanical systems, planned and statutory maintenance, and engineering safety
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and P&IDs
• Proficiency with SAP or other CMMS and Microsoft Office
• Knowledge of LOLER, PUWER, Pressure Systems or DSEAR
