Responsibilities
Design and ship moderately to complex backend features with limited guidance
Set backend standards for style, maintainability, testing, APIs, and operational readiness
Mentor associate and intermediate engineers; unblock and improve delivery practices
Diagnose and prevent performance/reliability issues at scale; participate in incident response
Leverage AI in production engineering to improve outcomes and coach others on responsible use
Key requirements
Deep backend expertise in APIs, data systems, and performance tuning
Adaptability with modern backend languages and systems programming
Architectural judgment for modular boundaries and migration-safe designs
Ability to lead through influence and clear written communication
Experience building or operating agentic AI systems in production
