In this role you will provide strategic and operational leadership for the Housing Options Service to deliver responsive, customer-focused housing advice and services. You will steer housing register management, reviews, appeals and specialist assessments, while driving performance and ensuring compliance with legislation and policy. As a member of the management team, you will shape service planning, policy development and transformation, using data to inform decisions and improve value for money. Provide strategic and operational leadership for the Housing Options Service
Oversee housing register management, reviews and appeals, and specialist housing assessments
Lead a team of professionals and drive service performance

Oversee complex decision-making, provide expert advice and guidance
Contribute to service planning, policy development and transformation
Use data and performance information to inform strategic decisions and manage risk
Support delivery of corporate objectives
Key requirements
Substantial experience in housing options, allocations, homelessness or related housing services
Strong understanding of housing legislation and policy
Excellent people management skills and track record of leading high-performing teams through change
Ability to drive service improvement and efficient operations
