Design Manager - Water Sector

Overview

As Design Manager you will lead multidisciplinary teams to deliver water projects from concept to detailed design, collaborating with clients and internal experts. You will oversee technical delivery across design & build, detailed design, and owners engineer services, shaping outcomes for clean water, wastewater, flood risk, and urban drainage. This role combines leadership, technical excellence, and client partnership within a growth‑oriented, collaborative environment. Responsibilities

• Lead multidisciplinary teams to deliver water projects from concept to detailed design
• Oversee delivery including design & build, detailed design, and owners engineer services
• Plan and lead technical delivery, coordinating with clients and internal teams
• Collaborate with external partners and internal specialists to ensure value and service excellence
• Engage with Stantec's global network of experts to deliver innovative designs
• Foster a collaborative, innovative team environment and drive projects to successful outcomes

Key requirements

• Experienced engineer with civil, mechanical and electrical, process, or other relevant discipline
• Ideally chartered with a relevant engineering institution (support available)
• Demonstrated experience leading and managing multidisciplinary teams
• Experience managing multiple projects and stakeholders, preferably on major projects
• Willingness to develop leadership career across different seniority levels
