Overview

In this Senior Manufacturing Engineer role, you will lead and coach a team of Manufacturing Engineers and Technicians in a high‑volume medical device facility to deliver continuous improvement and technical excellence. You will apply DBS tools to optimise processes, raise OEE, and reduce waste while safeguarding supply and enabling yield gains. You’ll drive cost savings through capability upgrades and data‑driven decision making in a regulated environment. This position offers meaningful impact by enhancing manufacturing performance and patient outcomes while working with cross‑functional teams.

Responsibilities

Coach and develop a team of Manufacturing Engineers and Technicians to sustain a culture of accountability and continuous improvement
Improve process capability and line efficiency using DBS tools (Daily Management, 5S, Variation Reduction, VSM)
Drive OEE and yield improvements through data collection and analysis to prioritise opportunities
Deliver cost savings by reducing waste, increasing productivity, and adopting new technologies
Identify business continuity risks in manufacturing processes and lead equipment upgrades to mitigate obsolescence and regulatory impacts

Key requirements

Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent in‑dustry experience
Regulated industry experience (medical devices, pharmaceuticals, or food & beverage)
Proven experience in high‑speed automated assembly and capacity growth
Experience leading change‑control and product & process validation activities
Proficiency with structured problem‑solving (5Whys, A3, Ishikawa, DMAIC, 8D) and data‑driven decision making (SPC, OEE)
