In this Senior Software Engineer role, you will strengthen Wise’s Account Integrity platform to prevent financial crime and protect customer funds. You’ll own end-to-end initiatives that bolster controls and detection, collaborating with cross-functional teams to balance security with product growth. The role combines backend and frontend work to deliver real-world impact through automation and scalable systems. You’ll contribute to a mission-driven environment focused on safeguarding customers while enabling fast, reliable money movements. Responsibilities

• Build and refine critical controls to protect customer accounts from takeovers
• Drive backend and frontend for crime prevention and detection systems (80/20 split)
• Deliver tangible security impact by safeguarding money and accelerating product growth
• Raise automation levels and contribute to a world-class money transfer product

Key requirements

• Professional experience with Java or other JVM-based languages, including Spring
• Experience designing scalable web applications handling high traffic; frontend with React/Javascript/Typescript
