Senior Systems Engineer

Overview

In this role you lead end-to-end control and automation delivery for multi-industry projects, ensuring safety, schedule and budget targets. You will oversee technical scope, supervise engineering teams, and drive design, testing and commissioning across PLC/SCADA-centric solutions. You’ll collaborate with bid teams and cross-functional engineers to deliver scalable, modular automation solutions that meet high-integrity standards. Responsibilities

• Lead control system design and execution (PLC, HMI, SCADA, MES, Batch) across the full lifecycle
• Supervise project engineers, assign work packages, monitor progress, and manage technical risks with the Project Manager
• Conduct site surveys and upfront studies; write core design docs (FDS, DDS, RAMS, O&M manuals)
• Develop PLC modules, SCADA scripts, and network drivers; lead FAT, SAT, and site commissioning
• Drive code modularisation and reusability; support bid teams with effort estimation and technical scope reviews

Key requirements

• Degree, HND, or HNC in Electrical/Electronic or Control Engineering
• CEng status or active toward registration
• End-to-end track record in PLC/SCADA systems delivery
• Sound understanding of control panels, electrical design, and instrumentation
