Frontend Engineer

Overview

As a Frontend Engineer, you will build and maintain high-performance, data-rich interfaces using TypeScript and React. You’ll optimise frontend performance, uphold code quality with automated tests, and troubleshoot edge cases to ensure a smooth user experience. You will proactively identify improvements and grow with a rapidly scaling fintech team. This role sits at the core of delivering a performant, scalable frontend capable of supporting a growing product. You’ll work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment that values learning and impact.

Responsibilities

• Build, develop and maintain complex data-rich interfaces in TypeScript and React
• Profile and optimise frontend code to improve performance
• Maintain code quality through best practices and automated testing
• Troubleshoot frontend issues including edge cases
• Identify areas for improvement and implement changes
• Grow and develop with the company as it scales

Key requirements

• Experience building complex, high-performance frontend applications in TypeScript and React
• Experience profiling and optimising frontend performance
• Strong commitment to code quality, testing, and handling edge cases
• Able to contribute to intense technical discussions
• Experience with AWS is beneficial
• Experience in FinTech is advantageous
• Strong communication and ability to liaise across levels
• Collaborative, able to work both independently and in a team
• Comfortable in a fast-paced, rapid-growth environment
