In this role you will lead a team within the Technical team to deliver a high-quality product to customers. You coach and develop people, manage performance and drive daily KPIs while ensuring compliance with food safety standards. You will shape short- and medium-term plans, policies, and continuous improvement efforts, supporting site accreditations where applicable. This is a fast-paced, collaborative role at a growing food manufacturer with strong ties to Morrisons.

Responsibilities
Lead and develop a team of Operatives with coaching leadership
Set short and medium-term plans and KPI targets
Implement and ensure compliance with Technical policies
Contribute to site accreditations where applicable
Ensure food safety and hygiene standards meet BRC and Morrisons standards
Monitor and drive KPIs; take action to meet targets daily/weekly
Set performance targets and create improvement action plans, including cost reduction
Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives
Spot and develop talent through coaching and guidance
Oversee colleague welfare and attendance improvements
Allocate tasks and manage daily shift briefs and weekly technical labour plan
Ensure compliance with raw material and finished product specifications
Key requirements
Management/Supervisory experience in a large-scale production/QA operation
Ability to challenge decisions and behaviours to ensure consistent customer service
Proven track record of people management and delivering strong results through a team
Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and challenge the status quo
Assertiveness to make decisions on the spot
Understanding of cost models, budgetary control and pest control management
