You will lead on-site delivery for a major highways roundabout upgrade, ensuring safe, efficient and quality construction. You’ll work closely with the Site Agent and Project Manager to coordinate works, manage engineering teams and subcontractors, and provide technical support through the build. The role focuses on setting out, design compliance, and robust site documentation to minimise risk. A strong health, safety and quality mindset is essential in a fast-paced, high-impact project.

Responsibilities
Managing setting out and surveying activities on site
Ensuring works are delivered to design specifications and project requirements
Producing and reviewing RAMS, ITPs and quality documentation
Coordinating subcontractors and site teams to maintain programme targets
Maintaining accurate site records and ensuring technical compliance
Supporting temporary works and permit systems
Identifying and resolving engineering issues to minimise project risk
Promoting high standards of health, safety, environmental and quality performance
Key requirements
Experience at a Section Engineer level within civil engineering, ideally on highways or public realm schemes
Excellent setting out and engineering capabilities
Knowledge of quality assurance processes and site documentation
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Proactive, solutions-focused approach to project delivery
