In this role you will contribute to the development and delivery of AJ Bell’s core services powering investor platforms. You’ll work in a cross‑functional squad to architect, build and deploy APIs, web apps and data layers, including third‑party integrations, across a NodeJS/TypeScript, React, AWS stack. You will own features from idea to production in a DevOps culture, collaborating with product, UX and business teams to deliver world‑class investing solutions. This is a hands‑on, impact‑driven role in a growth‑minded engineering organization with a strong emphasis on excellence.

Responsibilities
Develop features for web applications and APIs end‑to‑end
Architect, build and deploy APIs, web apps, data layers and 3rd party integrations across the stack
Collaborate with product, UX and business colleagues and other engineers
Adopt a build‑it, run‑it, own‑it DevOps mindset to take code from idea to production
Propose and pilot new solutions to improve customer experience and tooling
Work in a cross‑functional Agile squad focused on continuous improvement
Key requirements
5+ years of commercial experience building web applications and APIs
Proficiency with Node.js/TypeScript and React; experience with PHP or .NET Core is a plus
