In this role you will lead and contribute to fire protection design across a range of projects, delivering safe and compliant fire protection solutions. You will work within the Buildings & Places team to support design, surveys and project delivery, collaborating with clients and multidisciplinary teams. You will engage in technical design work, calculations, surveys, and reporting to drive secure, high-quality outcomes. This position offers progression for an established consultant looking to deepen technical depth within a respected fire safety practice.

Responsibilities
Lead FP design on projects and support the lead FP engineer on complex schemes
Prepare design packages for various RIBA stages (drawings, specifications, reports, hydraulic calculations)
Create Fire Suppression System solutions for multiple applications at all design stages
Perform sprinkler water supply and gaseous suppression calculations
Support remote project-delivery teams
Conduct technical reviews and assist in solving design issues
Perform field investigations or inspections
Coordinate with project teams, clients, authorities, contractors and stakeholders
Support project manager on projects of varying scale, delivery and technical assurance
Key requirements
Engineering degree or professional qualification
Experience in consultancy or related industries
Knowledge of British & International standards and Building Regulations
Experience with Fire Suppression Systems (Sprinklers, Water Mist, Gaseous Suppression, Risers, Hydrants, Hose Reels, Hypoxic Systems)
