Software Engineering Manager

Overview

In this role you will deliver high-quality software solutions that align with the engineering strategy and project constraints. You will collaborate with customers and partners to resolve complex technical issues and shape technical roadmaps. You will lead and line-manage a team of software developers, influencing delivery direction at senior levels. The position is based in Manchester, onsite, with a security-clearance requirement and a strong focus on mission-critical, cyber-security work. Responsibilities

• Deliver on the engineering strategy through high-quality, well-tested software solutions on time and budget
• Own a significant area of technical work with defined authority
• Collaborate with customers to identify and resolve complex technical issues
• Establish technical objectives, roadmaps and delegate responsibilities
• Influence senior management-level stakeholders (customers, suppliers, delivery resourcing and technical direction)
• Line-manage a team of software developers
