Responsibilities

Lead the structural design and delivery of projects across multiple sectors
Manage and mentor a team of 3–4 engineers and technicians
Act as project lead, delivering to programme, budget, and quality standards
Liaise with clients, architects, and multidisciplinary teams to develop design solutions
Review and approve calculations, drawings, and technical specifications
Provide technical leadership across multiple projects
Support business development, including client engagement and proposal preparation
Ensure compliance with UK standards, codes, and regulations

Key requirements

Chartered Engineer (CEng) status (e.g. ICE or IStructE)
Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
Extensive experience in a structural engineering consultancy
Proven experience leading projects and managing small teams
Strong technical knowledge across building structures
Experience across multiple sectors (commercial, residential, healthcare, education)
Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
Proactive and collaborative problem-solving approach
Knowledge of software including Robot, MasterSeries, Etabs, Tedds, CSC Fastrac Building Designer, Revit
