Interior Trim Engineering - Placement Year

Overview

In this placement, you support the Quality Planning team to enable new interior trim products, from measurement method design to data analysis for conformity and problem solving. You’ll work on projects to improve production processes and help deliver world-class interiors for the Rolls-Royce portfolio. This role offers a hands-on introduction to NPI activities in a luxury automotive environment with structured development and broad learning opportunities. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams and gain exposure to continuous improvement and responsible, inclusive culture.

Responsibilities

• Support development of new products within Quality Planning
• Design and test measurement methods to assist Quality Engineers in new product introduction
• Collect and analyse data to confirm product conformity and identify error trends for problem solving
• Undertake individual projects to investigate, analyse and improve production processes

Key requirements

• Bachelor in Engineering or Science (or integrated Master’s) and on track for 2:2 or above
• Analytical, logical and self-motivated
• Creative thinker with initiative
• Ability to multi-task with structure and attention to detail
• Must be returning to studies for at least 6 months after placement
