Project Lead

Overview

As Project Leader, you guide multi-disciplinary design and delivery of water treatment and infrastructure projects across Scotland, aligning technical, commercial, and schedule goals. You’ll lead design from concept to handover, coordinate engineers, BIM specialists, and operational teams, and build strong client relationships. This role sits at the intersection of design engineering and project management, offering impact on communities, resilience, and sustainability. You’ll work in a collaborative, cross-functional environment with a clear path toward chartership and professional growth.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design of treatment or infrastructure projects from outline to detailed design and through construction, commissioning and handover
• Coordinate project team including civil, electrical, mechanical, and process designers, BIM modelers and technical specialists to meet programme, budget and quality targets
• Manage design execution within frameworks and industry specifications
• Undertake design in own discipline and mentor junior colleagues
• Build and nurture client and project teams to promote a one-team approach

Key requirements

• Degree in Engineering
• Working towards professional qualification
• Valid driving licence and willingness to travel to sites across the region
