Senior Business Development Manager - Switzerland

Overview

In this role you drive growth for Wise Platform in Switzerland by securing and scaling high-value partnerships with Tier 1 banks, private banks and fintechs. You will shape market strategy, align product roadmaps with regional needs, and lead cross-functional workstreams to deliver regulated, complex collaborations. The role combines strategic influence with hands-on deal-making, offering a path to IC or leadership growth. You will help expand Wise’s cross-border payments network for banks and financial institutions across Switzerland.

Responsibilities

• Shape the market strategy by linking Swiss bank needs to product roadmaps
• Uncover and close partnerships with Tier 1 banks, private banks, and fintechs
• Drive cross-functional alignment with Pre-Sales, Product, Engineering, Compliance, Legal and Implementation
• Build and manage a robust pipeline of high-value partnerships across target Swiss financial institutions
• Iterate go-to-market messaging, pricing strategies, and tailored pitches for local market
• Navigate senior stakeholders and complex Swiss RFP processes and negotiations
• Represent Wise Platform at industry events and conferences in Switzerland

Key requirements

• 5–8 years of payments and/or financial institution sales experience
• Proven track record selling technology products, API infrastructure, or traditional correspondent services into banks
• Proven history managing long, complex enterprise sales cycles to contract execution
• Familiarity with Swiss banking landscape and cross-border payment rails
• Strong analytical, data-driven commercial acumen; comfortable negotiating with institutional procurement and C-suite
• Fluent German and professional English
• Entrepreneurial, hands-on mindset with ability to map deep technical product integrations with clients
• Experience working with cross-functional teams and regulated environments
