Senior Messaging Infrastructure Engineer

Overview

In this role, you will support messaging and IAM strategy for a flagship account in the aerospace sector. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to manage BAU and high-profile projects, ensuring secure and reliable email and identity services. The position involves on-site work at Newport, Portsmouth or Stevenage with SC clearance preferred and a pathway for suitable candidates. You’ll contribute to incident escalations, patch management, and integration with enterprise AD/PKI, helping the team progress strategic outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Act as a key escalation point for technical issues
• Handle BAU tickets for Messaging and IAM
• Support large-scale European-wide projects with project teams

Key requirements

• Strong on-prem Exchange experience (2019 preferred)
• Experience patching Exchange with SU updates
• Understanding of email/messaging AV and spam protection (Cisco ESA or Fortimail a plus)
• Experience with Microsoft Active Directory at Enterprise/Multi-forest scale
• Solid understanding of AD, domain structures and GPOs
• Strong troubleshooting, root-cause analysis and problem-resolution skills
• Knowledge of Single Sign-On/PKI
