Business Transformation Analyst

Overview

In this role you will help shape the future of Sompo’s Commercial Insurance operations by identifying opportunities to modernise processes with data, automation, and AI-enabled tooling. You will collaborate with stakeholders across Underwriting, Claims, Pricing, Operations and Technology to translate business needs into practical solutions that drive measurable outcomes. You’ll apply analytics to improve customer, broker and employee experiences while strengthening operational resilience. This position offers cross-functional impact and exposure to innovative transformation initiatives in a collaborative, London-based setting.

Responsibilities

• Analyse end-to-end processes, operating models and customer journeys to identify improvement opportunities
• Challenge existing ways of working and propose innovative, data-driven solutions
• Translate complex problems into actionable recommendations and assess upstream/downstream impacts
• Use data visuals (Power BI, Tableau or similar) to identify trends and support decisions
• Partner with data teams to define metrics and dashboards supporting performance indicators
• Leverage AI tools to improve analysis, delivery and decision making and explore automation opportunities
• Support delivery of transformation initiatives from idea to implementation, including business case development and outcome tracking
• Monitor industry trends in London Market and Commercial Insurance to bring best practices into transformation initiatives

Key requirements

• 5–7 years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in insurance
• Experience with Power BI, Tableau, SQL or similar tools
• Strong analytical and critical thinking, ability to derive actionable insights
• Experience supporting UAT, business readiness and implementation activities
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and ability to communicate complex concepts to varied audiences
