Consultant Project Manager - Construction

Overview

As a Project Manager in our Leeds Real Estate team, you will lead end-to-end project delivery and act as the primary client interface. You’ll manage time, cost, and quality targets on varied commissions, guiding cross-functional teams and governance processes. You will shape project strategies, reporting, and procurement to support client objectives. This role offers exposure to advisory work and large-scale developments within a collaborative, solutions-focused environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end project management commissions
• Act as day-to-day client interface to meet objectives
• Manage projects up to 40m (larger for advisory work like urban regeneration funding)
• Advise on strategic project conception and approaches
• Establish success criteria across time, cost, technical and performance
• Plan and manage quality, safety, health and environment issues
• Set up project governance, processes, and systems
• Produce detailed project plans and manage procurement of resources
• Lead cross-functional project teams
• Apply performance management techniques and KPIs
• Oversee change control and project finances
• Facilitate project information flow with client and consultants
• Prepare formal project progress reports
• Engage with client and consultants at all stages

Key requirements

• Degree qualified in relevant discipline (desirable)
• Proven experience managing construction/refurbishment projects
• Experience in a consultancy environment (essential)
