Responsibilities
Strategically manage electrical asset integrity across the station
Define and implement proactive maintenance plans including resource planning and budgeting, with contractor oversight
Lead engineering projects from financial justification through commissioning, aligning with SSE and station strategies
Maintain and optimise plant performance focusing on safety, reliability, and efficiency
Provide technical support and maintain accurate engineering records in compliance with legal and company standards
Key requirements
Degree-level qualification in a relevant engineering discipline
Previous experience in power station maintenance
Extensive experience with HV/LV switchgear, transformers, motors, generators, SFCs & associated protection systems
Understanding of SHE standards; NEBOSH certification advantageous
Proficiency in Maximo and other IT tools and financial reporting systems
Demonstrated ability to challenge conventional thinking and implement innovative solutions
