Embedded Software Engineer

Overview

In this role you will develop embedded software for IoT and consumer products, reporting to the CTO with a dotted line to the Software Director. You will work across projects in a small, hands-on environment, liaising with internal and external stakeholders including end customers. Linux experience is a plus as the business scales up in 2026. This is a chance to influence multiple projects from concept to delivery and grow with a growing engineering team.

Responsibilities

• Drive embedded software development on projects across the product lifecycle
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders including end customers
• Work across all project aspects in a small business setting
• Contribute to low-level and bare-metal programming efforts
• Support projects with Linux-related tasks where applicable

• Embedded C/C++ programming
• Microcontroller development
• Low level / bare metal programming
• FreeRTOS
• Linux – desirable
• Understanding of electronics
• Degree in Electronics or Software Engineering
