Senior Site Engineer

Overview

In this role you will support the site team on civil engineering and infrastructure projects in the East of Scotland, driving quality, safety and programme adherence. You will set out and survey works, review drawings and technical information, and maintain accurate site records. You will liaise with the Project Manager, Site Manager, subcontractors and design teams to resolve issues and keep works on track. This is a hands-on role with a clear impact on delivering safe, efficient site performance. The position offers varied projects and long-term career development with a growing contractor.

Responsibilities

• Setting out and surveying civil engineering and infrastructure works
• Providing technical guidance to Site Engineers and the site team
• Reviewing drawings, specifications and technical information
• Carrying out quality checks and maintaining site records
• Liaising with Project Manager, Site Manager, subcontractors and design teams to resolve technical issues
• Supporting safe, efficient delivery of works in line with programme requirements

Key requirements

• Previous experience as a Site Engineer in civil engineering or infrastructure
• Strong setting-out and surveying experience
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
• Good knowledge of construction processes, quality requirements and health & safety
• Strong communication and organisational skills and ability to work in a site team
