Electrical Testing & Inspection Engineer

Overview

In this role you will perform EICRs and Fixed Wire Testing across client sites in Central London, ensuring electrical safety and compliance. You will work within a team to uphold regulatory standards and deliver accurate testing reports. The work involves commercial and industrial environments with a focus on compliance and operational excellence. This is a safety‑critical role that supports Mitie’s mission to enable safe, reliable facilities. Responsibilities

• Carry out EICR inspections on commercial and industrial installations
• Perform Fixed Wire (Periodic) Testing in accordance with BS 7671
• Identify faults, deviations, and non‑compliances in electrical systems
• Code observations using C1, C2, C3, and FI classifications with auditable records
• Work in compliance with BS 7671, Electricity at Work Regulations, and company procedures

Key requirements

• Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Electrical Installations (or equivalent)
• 18th Edition BS 7671 qualification
• City & Guilds 2391‑52 (Inspection & Testing) or equivalent
• Proven experience delivering EICRs and fixed wire testing
• Strong knowledge of electrical regulations, safety standards, and testing procedures
• Ability to produce clear, accurate, professional reports
• Full UK driving licence
• Full DV (Developed Vetting) security clearance
• UK passport holder
• Clear 10‑year UK footprint
