In this role you will design and implement low-latency FPGA applications to support trading teams. You will bridge software and hardware, participating in the full development lifecycle from concept to production. You’ll work across offices to evaluate new FPGA technologies and solve performance constraints, driving impactful improvements in trading workflows. This position offers hands-on hardware design with cross-functional collaboration and a clear impact on latency-sensitive systems.
Responsibilities
Architect and implement new FPGA applications from ground up (synthesis, place & route, timing analysis)
Research and evaluate cutting-edge FPGA hardware and technologies
Propose creative solutions to hardware limitations
Liaise with software, trading and other design teams
Conduct lab debugging and characterization of new hardware
Production support and live debugging
Research new techniques, tools and architectures
Key requirements
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer/Electrical Engineering with 3+ years of experience
Solid Hardware Engineering experience, especially with FPGA
Autonomous, can-do attitude and able to lead FPGA projects from requirements to production
Strong ability to quickly assess feasibility based on hardware constraints
RTL logic design (Verilog) with 2+ years of experience
Experience in FPGA design flow (synthesis, place & route, static timing analysis)
Experience with SOC architectures, memory/processor subsystems, networking, and peripheral interconnect
Knowledge of TCP/IP stack
Proficiency with XILINX or ALTERA FPGA design flow
