Overview

In this hands-on Modern Workplace Engineer role, you will drive the next phase of Rightmove’s digital workplace transformation. You will own and optimise our collaboration and device management stack across Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, Atlassian tools, and more, ensuring a secure, reliable employee experience. You’ll work closely with a small IT team to improve how people work, communicate, and access essential tools. This is a high-impact role at the intersection of user experience and platform governance, with a clear focus on measurable improvements.

Responsibilities

• Google Workspace Administration: manage user lifecycle, access controls, security, collaboration services, and governance.
• Amazon Connect Platform Ownership: own, optimise contact flows, routing, queues, and permissions; act as technical SME with stakeholders.
• Atlassian Application Management: evolve Jira and Confluence workflows, permissions, automation, governance, and scalability.
• M365 Platform Ownership: administer Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, Viva, and related services for availability and adoption.
• Modern Device Management: design and maintain device lifecycle with Microsoft Intune and JAMF; implement zero-touch provisioning and compliance.
• Digital Employee Experience (DEX): monitor and improve end-user experience using DEX tooling; analyse endpoint health and resolve issues proactively.
• Automation & Process Improvement: automate provisioning and access using PowerShell, Power Automate, and other M365 tools.
• Security & Compliance Collaboration: partner with Security to embed identity protection, conditional access, DLP, and compliance policies.
• Documentation and Knowledge Sharing: maintain accurate docs and contribute to the knowledge base.

Key requirements

• Deep hands-on Amazon Connect administration experience.
• Proven Atlassian Jira and Confluence administration experience.
• Google Workspace administration experience: identity, access, security, lifecycle management, governance.
• Strong hands-on Microsoft 365 experience: Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, OneDrive.
• Experience with Microsoft Intune & JAMF for device management.
• Good understanding of Entra ID, Conditional Access, and MFA.
• Experience with DEX tooling (Nexthink, Lakeside SysTrack or similar).
• Scripting and automation in PowerShell or Power Automate.
• Familiarity with Windows Autopilot and hybrid join.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment and manage multiple priorities.
