In this role you will support and enhance critical security-enabled platforms used in defence and public sector services. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, scalable engineering solutions and drive continuous improvement. You will lead technical delivery, mentor juniors, and ensure governance and cyber security compliance. Responsibilities
Support, configure, and enhance security tooling platforms (SIEM/EDR)
Deliver engineering tasks within defined work packages aligned to security requirements and SLAs
Contribute to application architecture, integration, and lifecycle activities
Collaborate with engineering, service management, and business teams to resolve technical issues
Mentor junior engineers and promote best practices
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives (automation, documentation, knowledge sharing)
Ensure compliance with engineering governance, ITSM processes, and cyber security policies
Key requirements
Solid experience in supporting, configuring, and enhancing security tooling platforms (SIEM/EDR or similar)
Ability to solve moderately complex application-related issues and contribute to secure, scalable solutions
Understanding of application lifecycle management, integration patterns, and secure-by-design principles
Strong communication and collaboration skills across engineering and business teams
Proactive mindset with a passion for continuous improvement and knowledge sharing
Experience working within security and ITIL-aligned environments
Delivery within secure/enterprise/defence environments
