As an OHL Design Engineer at Arup, you contribute to high‑voltage transmission projects across the UK, from concept through detailed design. Responsibilities

• Support feasibility studies and design reports preparation
• Produce drawings, models, and technical documentation
• Contribute to OHL design tasks such as routing, profiling, and basic calculations
• Work with CAD tools and support digital design outputs
• Collaborate with team to meet programme and quality standards
• Continuously develop technical knowledge and industry standards understanding

Key requirements

• Degree (or equivalent) in a relevant engineering discipline
• Willingness to learn and develop within the OHL field
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Attention to detail and proactive problem solving
• Interest in professional development (e.g., chartership in future)
• Experience in consultancy or within transmission and distribution is beneficial but not essential
