Development Engineer

Overview

In this role you will develop manufacturing and metrology solutions to support high-volume consumer electronics production. You will work with cross-functional teams to deliver fixturing and tooling improvements and contribute to in-house development efforts. You’ll address production challenges, optimize processes, and help scale custom solutions aligned with Renishaw’s technology focus. Responsibilities

• Deliver solutions to manufacturing and metrology challenges in high-volume electronics production
• Design and manufacture bespoke fixturing and workholding to support processes
• Support projects from CAD design through in-house manufacture and solution delivery
• Maintain and continuously improve the in-house development area under tight deadlines

Key requirements

• HNC/HND/Degree in Engineering or equivalent
• Manufacturing experience, preferably milling
• Proficient in CAD/CAM, ideally Siemens NX and Teamcenter
• Good understanding of GD&T
• Methodical problem-solving approach
• High manual dexterity and attention to detail
• Strong written and verbal communication across stakeholders across the business
