Mobile Refrigeration Engineer

Overview

In this role you service, repair and diagnose vehicle refrigeration and air conditioning systems across the Midlands, operating remotely for a specialist transport cooling provider. You will keep the van stocked, handle safety checks, and coordinate with management on scheduling, while maintaining accurate digital records and high customer service standards. You may mentor apprentices and contribute to a professional service approach. This is a hands-on field role with growth within a forward-thinking organisation.

Responsibilities

• Manage van stock to support efficient service delivery
• Perform daily safety checks on the company vehicle
• Coordinate with management on job scheduling, downtime, and customer orders
• Complete paperwork and digital job records for invoicing and compliance
• Support apprentices or trainee engineers when required
• Maintain excellent customer service and professional company representation

Key requirements

• Experience in Mobile Refrigeration, Transport Refrigeration, or Vehicle Air Conditioning roles
• F-Gas certification
• C&G qualification or equivalent in an Engineering discipline
• IT literacy (Microsoft Office) and handheld PDA systems
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Experience in Refrigeration, Air Conditioning, or Mechanical Engineering
