Credit & Recoveries Executive

Overview

In this role you will support the Credit Control function within a client-focused finance team, managing a small portfolio of collect-out ledgers and driving proactive collections. You will maintain debtor records, coordinate with client management on disputes and recoveries, and support litigation where needed. The role emphasizes service delivery, efficiency, and close collaboration with operations and external partners to protect funds and reduce losses. This is a hands-on position with a clear impact on client satisfaction and debt recovery outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Credit control a small portfolio and collect out ledgers
• Provide support for Credit Control during peak workloads
• Deliver and maintain proactive collections processes per policy
• Make collection and follow-up calls within agreed timescales
• Record and update debtor contact details and collection notes
• Assist data processing with remittance advices and allocations
• Identify ledger queries and liaise with Client Management to resolve disputes
• Maintain client relationships to ensure high service levels
• Monitor and record litigation actions and related costs
• Review monthly pre-bills and update Legal Spreadsheet with disbursements
• Build relationships with Insolvency Practitioners, Solicitors, and Credit Insurers
• Escalate issues to senior management and provide staff training where appropriate
• Maintain Sharepoint filing system for debtor/client correspondence
