Overview

As an Estimator at a reputable Oxford-based main contractor, you will prepare cost estimates for a mix of new build and refurbishment projects across sectors. You will work within a client-focused, long-standing family business to support bid and procurement activities on projects ranging from £50k to £5m. You will use take-off from drawings and Conquest Software to quantify and price schemes, contributing to winning work and delivering competitive estimates. This role offers exposure to diverse sectors and a collaborative environment focused on high-quality project delivery.

Responsibilities

• Perform quantity take-offs from drawings for commercial projects up to £5m
• Prepare cost plans and bid submissions for new build and refurbishment schemes
• Utilise Conquest Software to manage estimating processes
• Contribute to tender documentation and pricing strategies
• Support project teams with procurement insights and risk identification

Key requirements

• Degree or other relevant qualification (preferred)
• Experience with a reputable Main Contractor
• Experience on commercial projects up to £5m
• Familiarity with Conquest Software
• Ability to take off from drawings
• Must be able to commute to Oxford daily
