Sr. Engineering Manager Global Tax

Overview

In this role you will lead the London Global Tax domain within a high-growth platform that enables Rippling’s international expansion. You will shape the technical direction, build and coach a world-class team, and own delivery for a billion-dollar vertical. You will work closely with sales, product, support, and operations to align the product with customer needs and business goals. This is a hands-on leadership position with a strong emphasis on architecture, scalability, and impact.

Responsibilities

• Build and run efficient day-to-day processes for a high-performing team
• Set strategic direction and plan to address scaling and growth challenges
• Collaborate with Sales, Product, Support, and Operations to shape the product
• Provide hands-on leadership in a platform essential to international expansion
• Own delivery and quality of software architecture to improve testability and maintainability

Key requirements

• 10+ years of software development and delivery experience
• 4+ years of Engineering Manager experience leading small to mid-sized teams
• Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field
• Strong programming skills with a focus on code quality and architecture
• Excellent project management and customer-centric mindset
• Hands-on development experience with Python, Django, MongoDB, React, AWS (a plus)
