Overview

In this role you will design, build, and maintain high-performance backend services that power Palantir’s data-driven platforms. Responsibilities

Lead architecture, development, and maintenance of scalable backend services underpinning data and AI systems
Uphold coding standards through guidelines and code reviews, promoting continuous improvement
Build robust APIs and integrate server-side logic with front-end components
Design efficient data structures and algorithms for large-scale data
Optimize applications for speed and scalability via performance analysis
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve user workflows and ensure cohesive experiences across product boundaries

Key requirements

6+ years of experience designing, developing, and maintaining live backend systems
Deep understanding of data structures, system architecture, API development for microservices, distributed systems
Engineering background in CS, Mathematics, Software Engineering, Physics or similar
Strong coding skills in Java, C++, Python, Rust, or similar languages
Strong written and verbal communication, ability to iterate quickly with teammates
Willingness to obtain US Security clearance is beneficial but not required
