Transport Refrigeration Engineer

Overview

In this role you deliver on-site servicing, repairs and diagnostics of vehicle refrigeration and air conditioning systems across the Midlands. You work remotely, representing the company and maintaining high service standards. You’ll handle van stock, safety checks, job scheduling, and accurate digital records, while supporting junior engineers. This position offers a clear path to enhance technical expertise within a specialist transport sector.

Responsibilities

• Manage van stock to ensure efficient service delivery
• Complete daily safety checks on the company vehicle
• Liaise with management on job scheduling, downtime, and customer orders
• Accurately complete paperwork and digital job records for invoicing and compliance
• Support apprentices or trainee engineers when required
• Maintain excellent customer service and professional representation of the company

Key requirements

• Experience in Refrigeration, Air Conditioning, or Mechanical Engineering
• F-Gas certification
• C&G qualification or equivalent in Engineering
• IT literacy including Microsoft Office and handheld PDA systems
• Strong customer service and communication skills
