Overview

In this role you will support design, estimation and quotation of retail security solutions (CCTV, EAS, RFID). You will collaborate with sales and delivery teams to interpret requirements, produce accurate estimates, and deliver high-quality proposals on time. This position blends technical know-how with commercial awareness in a fast-paced, customer-focused setting. You will help shape customer solutions and contribute to the team’s success in a security-focused retail environment.

Responsibilities

Prepare accurate project estimates using the Sales & Install (SAI) platform
Review PDFs, drawings and store layouts to determine system requirements and scope
Develop and maintain Excel-based estimation worksheets
Validate quantities, material needs, labour assumptions and pricing accuracy
Support preparation of technical proposals, quotations and customer submissions
Liaise with sales, engineering and project teams to clarify requirements
Ensure estimates align with customer specs, internal standards and project objectives
Maintain organised project documentation and estimation records
Support continuous improvement of estimation processes and tools
Deliver high-quality estimates and presales support within deadlines

Key requirements

3 to 8 years' experience in estimation, engineering support, presales engineering or similar technical role
Strong Microsoft Excel skills for detailed costing
Ability to read, interpret and analyze PDF drawings, layouts and project documentation
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
Good communication and stakeholder management skills
Well-organised with ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
Proactive, customer-focused approach and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
