In this Prep Engineer role, you support the preparation and maintenance of warehouse systems and related equipment, with remote on-site support as needed. You work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure gear is tested, packed, and ready for delivery. You will contribute to quality control, keep track of equipment status, and help teams anticipate rental needs. This role offers hands-on learning across departments and opportunities to grow your knowledge of live events technology.
Responsibilities
Build and configure systems including ancillary items
Prepping and testing large scale or complex systems
Assist packing prepped equipment into cases with everything needed for on-site activation
Perform quality control on prepped systems prior to shipping
Monitor and report losses and damages to departmental equipment
Monitor future rental requirements and report shortfalls to technical, project or rental teams
Basic configuration of Vision mixing equipment for testing and inter-system connectivity
Assist check-in/check-out and maintenance of all department rental stock
Maintain high standards for equipment maintenance
Maintain tidy, efficient prep and warehouse areas
Continuously improve knowledge of equipment and technology
Complete required training and engage with engineering teams to gain knowledge
Inform line manager of training or manufacturer demonstration opportunities
Uphold high delivery standards and professionalism
Adhere to company policies and processes
Support other teams to deliver projects and identify opportunities when possible
Be aware of current and upcoming equipment needs to speed up prep
