Tactical Planning Manager

Overview

As Tactical Planning Manager you will oversee all facets of tactical planning, driving quarterly sales campaigns and above-the-line activity aligned to margins. You’ll partner with planning and product teams to forecast by model and channel, analyse market trends, and adjust the sales plan to support strategic objectives. The role collaborates with finance and logistics to optimise stock, incentives, and promotions across Retail and Motability channels. You will act as an internal expert on promotional activity and launches, shaping offers and communications for the dealer network. This is a fast-paced, high-impact role at a recognised automotive brand offering long-term stability and growth

Responsibilities

• Develop above-the-line national promotions across Retail and Motability channels
• Ensure commercial terms align with dealer margins and promotional structures
• Create accurate short-, medium-, and long-term sales forecasts by model and channel
• Monitor forecast performance and propose corrective actions
• Support other departments with promotional activity and offers
• Collaborate on new vehicle launches with competitive offers
• Produce quarterly sales campaign documents and overlays for dealer communications
• Review contribution margins and incentive spend with finance team

Key requirements

• Strong analytical, planning and organisational skills
• Commercial experience in field-based or head office roles
• Solid project management capability
• Strong presentation and influencing skills
• High numeracy with advanced Microsoft Excel skills
