Overview

As an Associate Director in Deloitte’s Fair Pay practice, you will lead client engagements on complex pay-related compliance and strategy. You’ll shape advisory services across NMW/NLW, pay gap, equal pay, and related areas, while developing client relationships and guiding junior staff. You’ll identify risks, propose practical solutions, and help clients navigate evolving legislation and policies. Responsibilities

• Provide specialist NMW/NLW advisory across complex pay structures and deductions
• Conduct health checks and risk assessments to identify non-compliance and propose solutions
• Support HMRC investigations and prepare detailed submissions and settlements
• Develop and implement robust compliance policies, processes and internal controls
• Assist with due diligence for corporate transactions involving Fair Pay
• Research case law and monitor legislation to translate into practical client advice
• Build and maintain client relationships and lead or participate in client meetings
• Support business development and create proposals for NMW and fair pay services
• Deliver internal and external training sessions on NMW and fair pay topics
• Foster an inclusive team culture and mentor junior colleagues

Key requirements

• Strong understanding of current legislation relating to fair pay and employment law
• Ability to analyse legislation and apply it to client scenarios
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proven ability to plan, prioritise, and work under pressure
• Client engagement and management experience with a track record of business development
• Strong commercial acumen and adaptability to changing external environment
