Supply Chain Project Manager (Customer Support Specialist)

Overview

In this role you will lead supply chain activities for the UK Rotorcraft Chinook programme, coordinating across SCM functions to ensure on-time delivery and cost efficiency. You will manage the Additional Tasking portfolio from proposal to delivery, collaborating with Commercial, Programme, Finance, and Engineering teams. The role combines programme change management with hands-on SCM execution, offering exposure to multiple stakeholders and a focus on value delivery. This is a hybrid role based in Gosport or other UK locations, with security clearance needed.

Responsibilities

• Interface Rotorcraft SCM with Programme and act as the primary SCM liaison
• Coordinate and track tasks across the SCM function and attend programme drumbeat meetings
• Lead end-to-end SCM for the Additional Tasking portfolio from PPoA to delivery
• Assess impact of customer proposals on Supply Chain and develop SOWs and BOEs
• Manage changes to programme and contractual baselines related to SCM
• Identify and mitigate supply chain risks and report to project owners
• Place spares tasking requirements in SAP and coordinate delivery with US/UK teams
• Develop and report task metrics aligned to contractual milestones
• Collaborate with Commercial, Programme, Finance, Supply Chain, and Engineering to plan delivery strategies
• Capture actions, dependencies, and progress for Programme Management Reviews
• Drive cost and operational efficiency improvements
• Operate in a hybrid model with onsite attendance at designated locations

Key requirements

• minimum 3 years in a Supply Chain role
• experience with inventory management tools or ERP systems, ideally SAP
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
• strong numeracy, analytical and reporting skills
• high attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
• ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks from proposal to execution
