Week 1: Monday-Friday, 7:00am-4:00pm + Saturday, 8:00am-1:00pm
Week 2: Monday-Friday, 2:00pm-10:00pm + Saturday, 8:00am-1:00pm

Talent Guardian are recruiting on behalf of a well-established and growing food manufacturer for an experienced Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join their Engineering team at their Wednesbury site.

This is a brilliant opportunity for a hands-on engineer who enjoys working in a fast-paced production environment , fault-finding on machinery and keeping high-volume manufacturing lines running efficiently.

You'll be working across both electrical and mechanical maintenance , supporting a range of automated production equipment including filling machines, can seamers, blow moulders and associated plant equipment.

What you'll be doing as a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer

• Carry out planned, preventative and reactive maintenance across production machinery and plant.
• Diagnose and repair both electrical and mechanical faults, helping minimise production downtime.
• Maintain and repair automated filling, can-seaming and packing equipment.
• Carry out electrical installations in line with current 18th Edition regulations .
• Support the installation, commissioning and ongoing maintenance of automated manufacturing equipment.
• Fault-find across PLCs, AC/DC drives, motors, pumps, hydraulics and pneumatics .
• Maintain and fault-find metal detection and other critical production equipment.
• Complete and document routine maintenance schedules using the site's CMMS.
• Respond quickly to breakdowns and reactive work orders to keep production running.
• Work independently as well as alongside the wider Engineering and Production teams.

What we're looking for in a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer

We're looking for a multi-skilled engineer with a strong electrical bias who is confident working on production machinery within a manufacturing, production or industrial environment.
Ideally, you'll have:

• 18th Edition qualification .
• City & Guilds Level 3 in an electrical or mechanical engineering discipline.
• Strong electrical fault-finding and maintenance experience.
• Experience working with PLCs and automated production machinery .
• Knowledge of AC/DC drives, motors, pumps, hydraulics and pneumatics .
• A strong practical mechanical maintenance skillset alongside your electrical experience.
• Experience within a fast-paced manufacturing or production environment .
• Food manufacturing experience would be advantageous, but broader manufacturing and production backgrounds will also be considered.
• An apprentice-trained background would be beneficial.
