Engineering ManagerLancaster 55,000 to 57,000 (dependent on experience)About the BusinessA well-established industrial operation is currently investing heavily across engineering, infrastructure and operational improvements and they are looking to recruit an Engineering Manager to support the continued growth of the site.This is a varied and hands on opportunity within a fast-paced industrial environment, the Engineering Manager will play a key role across engineering, facilities, maintenance and operational support.They are looking for an Engineering Manager who can lead from the front, drive standards and take ownership of engineering operations across the site.The Role of the Engineering ManagerThe Engineering Manager will oversee engineering and facilities operations across the site, managing both internal teams and subcontractors to ensure maintenance, compliance and operational performance standards are maintained.They are looking for someone hands on who enjoys being out on site, supporting the team, driving improvements and getting involved in day-to-day engineering activities.The successful Engineering Manager can come from either a Mechanical or Electrical Engineering background.Responsibilities of the Engineering ManagerManage and lead a multi skilled maintenance and facilities teamOversee planned and reactive maintenance activities across the siteSupport engineering projects, site improvements and infrastructure upgradesDrive continuous improvement initiatives across engineering and operational performanceEnsure compliance with health and safety legislation, policies and engineering standardsSupport budget control and engineering spend managementMaintain high engineering, housekeeping and safety standards across the operationProvide technical support across engineering and operational activitiesWork closely with operational teams and senior management across the siteSupport facilities management responsibilities across offices and operational areasLead from the front and promote a positive engineering and safety cultureBe involved in site-based engineering activities when requiredRequirements of the Engineering ManagerTime served Mechanical or Electrical Engineering backgroundOver 5 years’ hands on engineering experiencePrevious supervisory, team leader or management experience within industrial environmentsExperience within ports, logistics, warehousing, manufacturing, heavy industry or similar environmentsGood understanding of engineering maintenance and facilities managementExperience managing contractors and third party providersA proactive and hands on approachGood communication and leadership skillsNEBOSH or IOSH qualificationFull UK Driving LicenceBenefits of the Engineering Manager• Salary 55,000 to 57,000 (dependent on experience) • 27 Days Holiday plus Bank Holidays • Matched Pension Contribution up to 10% • Healthcare Cash Plan • Salary Sacrifice Car Scheme • Cycle to Work Scheme • Critical Illness Cover • Employee Assistance Programme • Ongoing Training and Development • Long term progression opportunities within a growing operationIf you would like to hear more about this opportunity, please apply today or contact Adele Lewis directly for a confidential discussion.Mobile: Phone: Email:
