DevOps Engineer – Remote – Trading

DevOps Engineer Small Trading Firm 150,000 Plus BonusLondon / Hybrid NO experience of finance needed.Quant Capital is urgently looking for a DevOps Engineer experience to join our high profile client.Our client is a well known global Prop Trading firm. They like technology especially the opensource variety as well as scalability and robust performance (much like their track record). They currently run around 2 billion in liquid capital.This is an environment of google or a startup where tech is number 1 (11million budget last year…). The firm is known globally for its attitudes and rigour more importantly, you will be surrounded by smart people deeply interested in teaching what they know, and in learning from you.Own technical issues when they arise, either seeing them through to completion or handing off to the proper escalation/support path.Build and enhance operational dashboard, comprising of all critical and non-critical path datasets; effectively interpret existing data and create new metadata to identify inefficiencies of the entire trading lifecycle.Build and maintain scripted toolset to enhance areas of data analytics, application configuration/deployment, data consolidation and all other areas that could exploit automation where not already implemented.The environment is that of Facebook or Google, relaxed open with time to think and make the right decisions. The atmosphere is calm and relaxed with an open dress code. This is a role for techies, those who are motivated by the sharp end of technology and the possibility of making serious money doing something you are passionate about.DevOps Engineers MUST have: Preferred degree in any mathematics, science, or computing related area (e.g., computer science, computer engineering, mathematics or physics)If non-mathematics, science, or computing related area degree, candidate must have extensive professional development experienceComfortable in an object-oriented scripting languages such as PythonA self-motivated personality with a passion for solving complex problemsProficiency in Linux strongly preferredFamiliar with SQL or similar relational database systemExceptional communication skillsCan demonstrate a high level of initiative and the ability to quickly build trust with trading and technologyThis is an outstanding opportunity to join a growing trading business at a time of significant and interesting growth within the sector.
