Principal Mechanical Engineer - LondonI'm currently working with a well-established built environment consultancy that is looking to bring an experienced Principal Mechanical Engineer into their growing London team.This is a great opportunity for a technically strong engineer who enjoys taking ownership of projects, leading design teams and having a real influence on the direction of projects from concept through to delivery.The Role You'll be responsible for leading mechanical design projects across the full project lifecycle, working closely with multidisciplinary teams, clients, contractors and other key stakeholders.Your responsibilities will include:Leading mechanical design projects from concept through to deliveryManaging project scope, resources, programme and technical deliveryReviewing mechanical calculations, designs and CAD modelsCoordinating multidisciplinary design teams and ensuring technical qualitySupporting R&D and introducing innovative, sustainable engineering solutionsMentoring and developing junior engineersWorking closely with clients and contractors to deliver practical, compliant solutionsEnsuring designs meet relevant UK regulations and industry standardsAbout You We're looking for someone with:Strong mechanical/building services design experienceExperience within the built environment or consultancy sectorStrong CAD and mechanical design capabilitiesProject management and team leadership experienceA relevant Mechanical Engineering degreeChartered status or working towards chartershipStrong knowledge of UK regulations and industry standardsExcellent communication and problem-solving skillsA genuine interest in sustainable and innovative engineeringWhy Consider It?
