Vacancy detailSecurity Engineer 60,000 to 80,000 GBPBonusOnsite WORKINGLocation: Central London, Greater London – United Kingdom Type: PermanentCyber Security Engineer – SC ClearedLocation: London, Manchester or BirminghamSalary: Up to 80,000 + benefits DOELevel: SpecialistSecurity Clearance: Active SC clearance requiredWe’re looking for a Cyber Security Engineer to join a growing security engineering practice, working on complex client environments across cloud, on-premises and hybrid infrastructure.This is an opportunity to work with modern security technologies across security engineering, threat detection, incident response, SIEM, cloud security and network security, while working alongside experienced engineering and security specialists.The RoleAs a Cyber Security Engineer, you’ll help design, implement and maintain security solutions that protect infrastructure, applications and data. You’ll work closely with engineering and security teams to embed security best practice, automate security processes and proactively identify and mitigate risk.Your responsibilities will include:Designing, implementing and managing security tools, systems and processesSupporting security across cloud, on-premises and hybrid environmentsWorking with engineering and security teams to embed security best practiceAutomating security tooling and SIEM log ingestion/routingFirewall and network security managementDeveloping and maintaining security policies, standards and proceduresConducting infrastructure security assessments using tools such as CIS BenchmarksSupporting incident detection, response and threat intelligence activitiesContributing to vulnerability management and endpoint securitySupporting security improvements across complex client environmentsWhat We're Looking ForWe're interested in engineers with experience across some of the following areas:Cyber security and platform engineeringNetworking and network securityCloud security – AWS, Azure or GCPCI/CD, DevSecOps and Infrastructure as CodeLinux / WSLSIEM and log management – Splunk, Microsoft Sentinel, Cribl or ELKPython, Bash or PowerShell scriptingIDS/IPS, vulnerability management and endpoint securitySOC environments and security monitoringTerraform, CloudFormation or BicepAI security or AI hardening techniquesVirtualisation and hybrid infrastructureYou don't need to tick every box.
