Our client, a leading engineering consultancy, is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to join its Transport Infrastructure team in Luton on a permanent basis, with hybrid working available. The role will focus on the design and delivery of highways and drainage schemes for public and private sector clients, offering the opportunity to contribute to high-profile infrastructure projects within a supportive multidisciplinary environment.Key Responsibilities:Undertake and oversee the design of highways and drainage infrastructure projectsPrepare and review technical designs, reports and engineering calculationsDeliver projects from feasibility and preliminary design through to detailed design and construction supportLiaise with clients, local authorities and other project stakeholdersSupport project managers with the delivery of schemes to programme and budgetMentor and support the development of graduate and junior engineersEnsure designs comply with relevant industry standards, regulations and client requirementsContribute to technical excellence and continuous improvement across the wider engineering teamJob Requirements:Degree qualification in Civil Engineering or a related disciplineExperience delivering highways and infrastructure projects within a consultancy environmentStrong knowledge of highways design principles, standards and best practiceExperience liaising with clients, local authorities and project stakeholdersStrong communication, technical and problem-solving skillsAbility to work independently and collaboratively within multidisciplinary teamsExperience in drainage design and wider infrastructure projectsFamiliarity with DMRB, Manual for Streets, Section 38 and Section 278 agreementsExperience using Civil 3D, Causeway Flow, MicroDrainage or InfoDrainageWorking towards Chartered Engineer status with ICE or an equivalent professional bodyBenefits:Hybrid working arrangementExposure to major infrastructure and transport projectsOngoing professional development and support towards professional chartershipClear career progression opportunities within a leading engineering consultancyComprehensive benefits packageIf you are an experienced Senior Civil Engineer with highways and infrastructure expertise, this is an excellent opportunity to develop your career within a collaborative consultancy environment.
