Our client is seeking an experienced Principal Civil Engineer to join its growing Birmingham team on a permanent basis. The role will support the delivery of a diverse portfolio of public sector highways and infrastructure projects, working with local authorities and other public sector clients.Key Responsibilities:Lead the design and delivery of highways and infrastructure projectsManage project programmes, budgets and technical outputsLiaise directly with clients, stakeholders and local authoritiesUndertake and review highways, drainage and infrastructure designsEnsure projects are delivered in accordance with relevant standards and industry guidanceMentor and develop engineers and techniciansSupport bids, fee proposals and framework commissionsJob Requirements:Degree qualification in Civil Engineering or a similar disciplineExperience delivering highways and infrastructure projects within a consultancy environmentStrong understanding of highways design standards, including DMRB, Manual for Streets and local authority requirementsExperience managing project teams and client relationshipsProficiency with industry-standard civil engineering design softwareChartered Engineer status, or progress towards professional chartership, would be advantageousStrong communication, technical leadership and project management skillsBenefits:Opportunity to work on major public sector highways and infrastructure schemesClear progression pathway and professional development opportunitiesHybrid working arrangementsFlexible benefits packageSupportive and collaborative team environmentIf you are an experienced Principal Civil Engineer with a strong background in highways and infrastructure consultancy, apply now to take the next step in your career with our client's growing Birmingham team.
