Role Overview

Esland Shropshire School is seeking an outstanding SEN Teacher to join our dedicated team. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a growing, specialist provision supporting vulnerable young people aged 8 to 18 years who have SEND and SEMH needs. Responsibilities

Plan and deliver lessons across core subjects (English, Maths, Science)
Support pupils’ academic and personal development through Individual Learning Plans (ILPs)
Contribute to EHCP reviews and PEP meetings
Foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
Work closely with colleagues, families, and external agencies
Promote safeguarding and wellbeing at all times

Requirements

Essential

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant degree
Experience teaching KS3 and/or KS4 across a range of subjects
Strong understanding of SEND, particularly SEMH
Knowledge of assessment frameworks and progress tracking
Excellent behaviour management and inclusive teaching strategies
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil welfare

Desirable

A degree or qualification in psychology
A higher degree or equivalent
